He is very thorough, honest, and charges a fair price. He only does what has to be done and lets you know if he sees any issues that you need to keep an eye on. I trust him more than the Acura Dealerships in the Miami, Florida area.

The 2019 Miami International Auto Show fires up Nov. 1, bringing hot cars to hot Miami Beach. Showgoers will have access to nearly 1,000 cars, trucks and SUVs from more than 40 domestic and international automakers — including the all-new 2020 Toyota Highlander and 2020 GR Supra, as well as the Official Show Car, the 2020 Hyundai Palisade.

This year, the hometown of the Heat is really bringing the heat. Several automakers — including Genesis, Nissan, Ram and Toyota — are planning announcements on Nov. 1 ahead of the show’s opening, potentially unveiling some redesigned or refreshed cars, trucks and SUVs. It all kicks off Friday and runs through Nov. 10 at the newly renovated Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Drive. Hours are 5-11 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Nov. 2-3; 2-11 p.m. weekdays; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Nov. 9; and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 10.
General admission is $15 for visitors age 13 or older, $6 for children ages 6-12, and free admission for children age 5 or younger. Visit the show’s website for more info and to buy tickets. Parking starts at $2 per hour, with shuttle service from all Miami Beach public parking garages to the show entrance.
Shopping for your next car in the Magic City (or perhaps just looking to escape the heat and humidity in a big air-conditioned space)? Here are five things you can’t miss at the 2019 Miami International Auto Show:
1. 2020 Toyota Highlander
The fully redesigned 2020 Toyota Highlander, which debuted at the 2019 New York International Auto Show back in April, will no doubt be among the most sought-after cars at the show this year. Sitting on a new global platform, the Highlander is nicer on the inside, more fuel-efficient and about 2.4 inches longer than its predecessor. Take your pick of the gas-powered model — with a 295-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 under the hood — or the new-generation hybrid powertrain. The hybrid model comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 comes standard in the Highlander, with two new safety systems included: Lane Tracing Assist and Road Sign Assist.
The gas version of the Highlander will hit dealerships in December, while the hybrid version will be available in February 2020.
2. 2020 Toyota GR Supra
The return of the enthusiast-beloved Supra has been hotly anticipated since it was unveiled at Detroit’s 2019 North American International Auto Show in January. Toyota’s performance coupe was co-developed alongside the 2019 BMW Z4 and shares many of the same components — down to the gearshift — but superior tuning makes it its own. Love or hate the new look of the Gazoo Racing (yes, that’s what “GR” stands for) Supra, the thing packs a punch. The fifth-gen Supra gets 335 hp out of a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission — though we think it feels more like 380 or 390 hp, and piles on quickly. The suspension and steering are sharp, and it unleashes a pleasant exhaust noise in Sport mode.
The 2020 Toyota GR Supra went on sale in the summer, but you can catch a glimpse of it at the show before heading to the dealership. Pricing starts at $50,920, including a destination charge.
3. Official Show Car: 2020 Hyundai Palisade
It’s official: Hyundai’s new three-row SUV, the 2020 Palisade, is the official car of the 2019 Miami International Auto Show. And it’s no wonder; with chic styling, a smooth ride and abundant standard safety features, Cars.com editors like it, too.

The Palisade — often compared with its close relative and competitor, the 2020 Kia Telluride — has a 3.8-liter V-6 under the hood that puts out 291 hp and makes 262 pounds-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard, but all-wheel drive is available. The Miami auto show is a chance to see this SUV up close; the Palisade has also arrived in dealerships, but this is your chance to climb around in one with no salesperson scrutiny. Pricing starts at $32,595 including destination.
Is a sedan more your style? Hyundai is also giving away an all-new 2020 Sonata to one lucky attendee at the Miami auto show.
4. Classic Cars
Auto shows are so often about what’s new and what’s next, but a big attraction at the Miami auto show every year is the collection of classic cars. Antique cars like the 1959 Ford Skyliner with a hideaway hardtop, a 1933 Ford Coupe and a 1955 Messerschmitt from Cuba’s rich history will be featured in the Havana Classics collection. If that’s not enough nostalgia for you, the classic Memory Lane exhibit should do it; featured in this collection will be old favorites like a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe, a 1968 Mercedes Benz 280SE coupe and the 1969 Chevy Camaro Indianapolis 500 pace car.

5. Test Drives
Auto Tuning Show Miami 2016
With nearly 1,000 display cars, trucks and SUVs at your disposal, the Miami auto show is a great place to make vehicle comparisons across automakers and get some car shopping in without a salesperson over your shoulder. This year, 18 car models from Chevrolet, Nissan and Toyota will be available to “Ride-n-Drive.”
Here are all the vehicles available to test drive:
Auto Tuning Game
- Chevrolet: Silverado 1500 and 2500, Colorado, Blazer, Camaro, Malibu, Equinox and Traverse
- Nissan: Titan, Rogue, Altima, Kicks, Leaf and Maxima Platinum
- Toyota: Camry, Highlander, RAV4 Hybrid, Tundra
Camp Jeep — back again in Miami after a three-year absence — will offer show attendees an off-road experience. No need to venture out into the wilderness to put one of Jeep’s 2020 models through its paces; the 25,000 square-foot trail-rated test track is just outside the convention center, located on 19th Street and Convention Center Drive, adjacent to the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens. Alongside a professional driver, you can take one of Jeep’s 2020 models for a spin: the Gladiator, Wrangler Unlimited, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Renegade and Compass.
